FAST ONE
This course is designed for the newer shooter up to B class USPSA or Expert IDPA. Should have some experience; be able to safely draw a gun from a holster and demonstrate safe muzzle discipline.
This is the introduction to the FAST academy style of high speed execution of the fundamentals and will begin the process of training you how to train. This class will cover equipment, grip, stance, draw, sight picture, trigger control, transitions, reloads, and positions. We will also touch on more advanced techniques such as shooting on the move, and stage breakdown.
This is a ONE DAY course. It will be a full day and I recommend 1000 rounds. Class max of 4 students.
FAST TWO
FAST TWO is designed for the A class and above USPSA shooter and any student who has been through FAST ONE.
FAST TWO will begin with recap and expansion on the fundamentals. Grip, stance, draw with great emphasis on sight picture, trigger control and shot calling. Other topics include in/out of position, shooting on the move, stage breakdown, economy of motion, sight/target focus shooting, strong hand/weak hand, the mental game and more!!
This course is the core program; it is a TWO DAY course. I recommend 1500 rounds for the class. Class max of 3 students.
You might not come out a GM level shooter but you will have the knowledge of what and how to practice to become one. I will follow up FAST TWO students with a critique via email of individual areas you need to improve on and ways to accomplish it. Once you go through FAST TWO I am your coach for life!
FAST TUNE UP
This course is designed for any previous student as a refresher. Great as a pre-season or pre-match tune up. Touches on all aspects of FAST ONE/TWO. This is a ONE DAY course.
CCFTRW
Concealed Carry For The Real World. If you choose to carry a firearm 24/7 for your personal protection like a lot of us you’ve probably realized you need a smaller than preferred weapon. It’s a trade off many folks make, after all the wimpy gun in your pocket is better than the manly gun in the safe.
Have you had the opportunity to live fire draw from your chosen position of carry? Pocket, ankle, fag bag, purse, etc. Will your ammo penetrate drywall, plywood, t-shirt? Can you accurately hit a target from 2 yards…..how ’bout 25? How about reliability? Do you even have 100 rounds through your gun? In this course you’ll be able to find out the answer to all those questions and more!
FAST OFFENSE
Those that know me know I’m not very PC. In my opinion if it’s time to use a firearm to defend yourself or another you should be on the offense. Sure it’s a defensive firearm and you are using it in the defense of you or someone else but mindset wise you should be on the offense. That is what FAST OFFENSE is about.
The first half covers many of the same topics of FAST ONE or FAST TWO, fundamentals of markmanship. Fast Accurate Shooting Techniques…..sound familiar? The second half covers fighting with a handgun. Alternate firing positions, strong hand/weak hand manipulation, shooting from cover, shooting on the move, and more.
This course is ideal for law enforcement, security personel, and anyone concerned with using a full size handgun for their or others protection. Gear for this course should be of the ‘real world’ nature. If you fall on your butt in the course….or dive there on purpose your mags, and gun should stay put.
This is a TWO DAY course. I recommend 1500 rounds. Class max of 4 Students.
